BIBLE

• To know God is the Creator of all things.

• To know the Bible is God’s Word.

SOCIAL

• To alleviate anxiety in parent/child

separation.

• To interact with peers in a positive way.

MOTOR SKILLS

• To develop and strengthen eye-hand

coordination.

• To be introduced to scissor skills.

• To be able to catch a ball from three feet.

LITERACY

• To be exposed to a wide variety of literature.

• To develop comprehension skills.

MATH

• To recognize shapes (circle, square,

triangle).

• To develop sorting and matching skills.

SCIENCE

• To gain an understanding of God’s Creation.

• To have numerous hands-on experiences.

ART

• To recognize colors.

• To be exposed to various types of media.

MUSIC

• To be exposed to different kinds of music.

• To experience enjoyment and creativity

through music.

12:15- 3:15 p.m.

BIBLE

loves and accepts us as we are.

• To learn Godly character through

stories and daily experiences.

SOCIAL

• To cooperate in classroom routines.

• To develop self-help skills and a

positive self-concept

MOTOR SKILLS

• To learn to write name using correct

upper and lower case letters.

• To be able to throw, catch and bounce a

large ball.

LITERACY

• To recognize upper and lower case

letters.

• To recognize beginning phonics sounds.

MATH

• To count to 30.

• To begin simple addition with

manipulatives.

SCIENCE

• To learn about cause and effect.

ART

• To develop creativity through openended

art activities.

MUSIC

• To experience freedom through music

and movement.

Daily Activities

• Greeting and free play

• Morning prayer

• Circle time ( flag salute, songs,

calendar, weather report, introduction of

theme topics, story time)

• Visit learning centers ( some childinitiated,

some teacher-directed)

• Snack time (includes hand washing)

• Sharing time ( show and tell)

• Art and/or Music time.

• Worship time ( songs/stories)

• Outdoor play (or vigorous indoor

activities)

• Story time/ preparation to go home

(Based on a three-hour session)

Special Activities

• Optional Computer Class offered once a

month.

• Field trips

• Special celebrations throughout the

school year
