PROPERTY EXPANSION FUND

Building Our Future, One Property at a Time

We are launching the Property Expansion Fund, a forward-looking, long-term initiative designed to help us secure the properties adjacent to our current campus. By acquiring these homes as they become available, we protect our future and create the room needed for responsible growth, improved accessibility, and expanded opportunities for decades to come.
Because property listings can appear with little notice, this dedicated fund ensures we are prepared to act quickly and wisely when opportunities arise. It is a strategic step that strengthens our foundation today and safeguards our capacity for growth in the future.

Why This Matters

The properties along Wilma Avenue and other adjacent properties represent a unique and limited opportunity to think wisely about the future. While there are no immediate building plans, acquiring these properties as they become available gives us the flexibility to respond to future needs. These are possibilities, not commitments—but preparing now keeps those possibilities open.

    • Improve traffic flow, emergency access, and overall campus connectivity.
  • Expand parking capacity
    • Enhanced parking reduces congestion and supports the comfort and safety of visitors, members, and guests.

    • Whether for classrooms, gathering spaces, administrative offices, athletic sites, or new organizational needs, additional land gives us options.

    • Additional property allows for improved visibility, safer traffic patterns, controlled access points, and a more secure perimeter for students, staff, and guests.

    • Owning adjacent property protects the character, safety, and long-range integrity of our campus.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are we raising funds if we aren’t building immediately?

Because property availability is unpredictable. Having funds ready allows us to act quickly when homes on Wilma Avenue come up for sale.

What if property prices change?

The fund gives us flexibility to respond wisely to market conditions and negotiate as opportunities arise. Property values can vary, which is why having funds ready is so important.

What happens to the homes if we purchase them?

If a home is acquired, it may be rented, maintained, or simply held as a long-term asset until future decisions are made. Each situation will be evaluated carefully.

How many properties are we hoping to acquire?

We are currently focused on the properties that become available adjacent to or strategically connected to our campus. Because each home is individually owned, we cannot predict the exact timing or number that may come up for sale. Originally, there were 13 homes along Wilma Avenue; two were previously owned by RCS and used for the tennis courts, leaving 11 remaining. Of those, Ripon Christian now owns one, with another scheduled to close in the new year.

Will donors and constituents be updated on progress?

Absolutely! Our constituents will receive updates whenever new properties are purchased, as well as periodic reports on future planning.

What if a property doesn’t become available soon?

The fund remains securely dedicated for Wilma Avenue purchases only. It is a strategic reserve for the right moment.
