Lower School (Grades K-5)

Ripon Christian Schools prepares our young followers of Jesus Christ academically, physically, socially, and spiritually.  Recognizing that each child has been created in the image of God with unique gifts and abilities, teachers intentionally integrate a distinct Christian perspective through challenging lessons and diverse learning experiences. All lower school curriculum is evaluated by administration and staff to ensure students are academically successful as they transition to higher grade levels.  The Lower School program is fully accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Christian Schools International (CSI), which help monitor student learning and sets school improvement goals.

On average, each grade level consists of around 70 students, and for every grade level, there are three separate classroom sections assigned to accommodate these students. This structure ensures that the number of students in each section remains manageable, providing an organized and effective learning environment across all grade levels.

Highlights:

  • Daily devotions, prayer, and Bible lessons; bimonthly chapel services
  • 90 minutes or more of daily Language Arts instruction including phonics, reading, writing, spelling, and speaking
  • 60 minutes or more math instruction
